Colour

All living things on the planet require sunlight to grow and survive and humans are no exception. Within the pure light of the sun are the seven colours of the rainbow - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

Each colour emits a different wave length and energy frequency. These energetic frequencies range from red - the lowest vibration (longest wavelength) to violet the highest frequency (shortest wavelength). These different colour frequencies affect the wellbeing of the spirit, mind and emotions.

The Chakras:   the seven main energy centres in the body
.
They are located along the Spine starting at the base and running upwards to the crown of the head. Spreading out in a network from each central Chakra are smaller energy points called Nadis.  The literal meaning of nadi is 'flow'.
.
The Chakras and the Nadia constitute the composition of the subtle body.  Like the Chinese meridians, the nadis constitute channels of flow of subtle vital force (prana)
.
The Chakras are described as "whirling disks of light", and each Chakra radiates a specific colour and energy.  As each Chakra relates to specific spiritual, emotional, psychological and physical issues, conscious awareness of these centres can have a remarkable effect on our sense of self and general well being.
.
When attuned to Reiki you are able to work with your Energy centres to create balance within your life.  Balancing of these energy centres is both a starting point in self discovery and awareness of yourself and a `thermometer`  to help in your understand and awareness of yourself and others during daily interactions. Incorporated into the Reiki Path of enlightenment they help with meditation and emotional and mental unblocking.
