people wishing to learn to work with Reiki directly, training is commonly (though not always) structured in a series of three
Levels or Degrees. The ability to 'do' Reiki is not something that is learned
in the normal sense. Rather it is something which is activated or awakened within the individual through a process of Initiation
( also referred to as an 'Attunement') This Initiation or Attunement - the central focus of each Level or Degree - involves a special energetic transfer technique whereby the Reiki Master Teacher essentially 're-patterns' or 'recalibrates' the student's etheric field & subtle energy centres *

Reiki Level 1 . . At Level 1, the Initiation/Attunement opens the student to the flow of Reiki (some would say: opens them to the awareness
of the flow of Reiki). With Usui Shiki Ryoho, the 'outer' focus of Level 1 Reiki
is on hands-on therapy at a purely physical level Both for self-treatment and family and friends. However, the 'inner'
focus of Level 1 is about learning to become 'a clear channel' for Reiki.
Level 1 is about learning to 'let go and let the energy flow' - about learning to 'step out of the way' - learning to override the desire of ones conscious mind to interfere in the therapeutic process, and instead, simply let the Reiki phenomenon 'happen'. The attitude should be one of inviting and allowing Reiki to expose any mental and emotional blocks you have that hold you back from being completely who you are. Developing this attitude early on will greatly enhance the quality of your journey with Reiki. Further information about starting with Reiki and how Level 1 works.  Moving On Having developed your connection with Reiki and become more conscious of your personal blocks you begin to become more and more aware of how much mental and emotional healing is available through connecting with Reiki. Now is the time to consider moving on to Reiki Level 2. While many people will choose to progress to Level 2 (with its deeper energy connection and expanded healing techniques) and eventually to Level 3 (the 'Master' Level) - Reiki Level I training will make the connection with Reiki to provide the opportunity for self-healing. To move through the blocks Reiki reveals requires your desire and commitment to allow the essence of Reiki lead you.
Reiki Level 2 * * At Level 2 Reiki is now able to operate at a higher energy level . The Level
2 Attunement increases the amount of power. Level 1 has done the preparation and now your energy centres can process
a higher energy input. This is where those
with a serious desire to strengthen and understand their core being begin to understand at a profound level what it is to
be free. A clarity about your mental and emotional life emerges. Unhealthy and energy
depleting strategies start to fall away – like a butterfly emerging from the crysalis. With Level 2 training, the student is also introduced to three sacred symbols, and is instructed in their use as
a means of enhancing the effectiveness of treatments (including working in the aura) carrying out treatments at deeper mental
and emotional levels. If your intention is to be a Reiki Practitioner
it is this level of attunement that is required.
Reiki Master . The Reiki Master Attunement . The manifested roots of Reiki are firmly embedded
in personal awareness and spiritual unfolding,. In its original form Reiki is simple elegance and profound. Some people learn Reiki to ease their day to day lives and to share their desire to show compassion to other through connecting with Reiki. Starting out on the Reiki path is life changing and often brings about transformations both on a personal level and in the way that they interact with others and their environment. In the last 10 years Reiki has gone from being almost unheard of to being one of the top 5 alternative therapies. Just as a matter of interest though, the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui never intended Reiki to be a ‘therapy’; for him, it was always about personal and spiritual growth and it just so happened that Reiki could be used to improve physical and emotional health. It is a transformational
relationship, it enables individuals to grow within themselves by impacting on the physical, emotional and spiritual
aspects of their lives helping to bring a heightened sense of awareness and harmony. . Reiki`s
intention is to develop the overall level of consciousness in the world, and indeed universally. The Reiki Master level is for those of us who wish to continue
our personal evolvement towards a greater understanding of the oneness of everything.
